"We selected Structural Engineered Bamboo for the new Crestwood Community Center because it offered the right balance of durability, aesthetics, and long-term value. The beams provide the warmth and beauty of natural wood while delivering the strength and longevity we expect from a structural material. While the cost was comparable to steel, the SEB option allowed us to avoid the added complexity and maintenance of faux wood wraps — making it the right choice."

The new community center is designed to be a transformative project taking cues from the surrounding site to inspire the architecture, which features a SEB (Structural Engineered Bamboo) primary roof structure, central connector, and entry canopies.

"Architects are constantly looking for ways to decarbonize their buildings, and introduce innovation. They see ReNüTeq® Frame™ Series Structural Beams and Columns as an excellent way to achieve these goals. By utilizing SEB (Structural Engineered Bamboo), architects not only tap into a resource that sequesters carbon during its growth but also contribute to the decarbonization of our built environment by reducing the aluminum and steel required in traditional curtain wall systems".
